My contributions supported the company’s progress toward key environmental goals, including green building practices that contributed to a Gold-level certification for the headquarters, and advancing initiatives aimed at achieving net zero waste and long-term sustainability impact.

Challenge

Due to NDA restrictions, I cannot disclose specific ESG initiatives. However, I was responsible for managing innovative environmental projects within the organization. The challenge lay in implementing practical, measurable improvements in environmental impact while aligning with internal goals and external standards such as green building certification.

Process

I led initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, including monitoring paper usage, promoting zero-waste practices through Waste4Change, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing indoor air quality. These efforts required close collaboration with internal facility teams—building management and HSE—as well as external partners.

For the green building effort, I worked as a certified green professional with the facility team to collect and verify data required for green building certification. We partnered with PT Ecobuild to meet certification standards and carried out facility upgrades to enhance sustainability performance.

Output

Some of the key implementations included grey water recycling systems, vertical gardens, and other sustainability-driven upgrades. Through these and other initiatives, we successfully aligned environmental efforts with ESG goals.

For the green building project at IOH HQ, our innovations and renovations which supported by cross-functional collaboration, helped elevate the building’s environmental quality. These efforts led to the achievement of a Gold certification from GBC Indonesia.

Conclusion
